Terms of Service
Bloom & Send is a marketplace of independent local florists. These terms explain what we do, what the florist who makes your arrangement does, and what you agree to when you order. Sections that depend on a legal decision are marked for review rather than stated as commitments.
The marketplace relationship
Bloom & Send operates the marketplace: the website, search, checkout, payments, order updates, guarantee claims, content moderation and florist payouts. Independent local florists set their own prices, delivery areas, fees, hours, cutoffs and capacity, publish their own listings, accept or decline each order, and design and deliver the arrangement.
Orders, pricing and fees
Submitting checkout is an offer to buy; the order becomes binding when the florist accepts it. Payments are processed by Stripe. Each florist sets its own prices; the price shown includes a 10% platform commission, and the delivery fee for the recipient ZIP code is shown before payment. A florist may decline an order, in which case it is not charged or is refunded.
Flowers and substitutions
Arrangements are made by hand from the stems a local shop has that day. Where you allow substitution at checkout, a florist may swap individual stems for alternatives of equivalent value while keeping the overall style, size and color palette. A substitution that changes the color story or lowers the value is covered by the Freshness Guarantee.
Delivery, guarantee and refunds
Delivery windows, incorrect addresses, unavailable recipients, failed attempts and weather delays are governed by the Delivery Policy. Problems with an arrangement are handled under the Freshness Guarantee, reported within 24 hours of delivery, and resolved with a replacement, a partial refund or a full refund.
Reviews and marketplace content
Only customers whose order was delivered can review it. Florists may respond publicly and report a review, but cannot hide or delete customer reviews; only Bloom & Send moderates content, and genuine negative reviews stay published.
